Overall, the park has undergone significant transformation with the addition of several new facilities, an expansion in some areas, and the removal of certain features. The current layout offers more amenities and improved infrastructure compared to the park 10 years ago.
Ten years ago, the village park featured two tennis courts, a children’s play area, a car park with a capacity of 20 cars, a football pitch, a pond, and woods. The entrance was located in the same position as it is now.
In the current layout, the number of tennis courts has doubled from 2 to 4, and the car park capacity has been expanded to accommodate 50 cars. The children’s play area remains, but a new children’s soft play area has been introduced. Additionally, new facilities such as toilets, a picnic area, a boating lake, and a café have been added, enhancing the park’s attractiveness and functionality.
Significant changes include the relocation and enlargement of several areas. The picnic area is now situated in the lower left corner of the park, and a boating lake and café have been introduced in the lower right section. The pond and woods from the previous layout have been removed, making way for these new amenities.
A notable addition is the cycle path that surrounds the entire park, providing a new recreational option for visitors. This feature, along with the expanded car park and the introduction of more play areas and facilities, reflects a shift towards making the park more family-friendly and accessible.
